The top reasons educators tell me they are not making sales

"I hate asking people for anything."
"I don't like selling because it's disingenuous."
"It's the idea of selling myself."
"I just don't like the manipulative tactics of marketing. Once I started learning about marketing I was like, dang, that's so wrong."
"I just hate trying to convince someone to get something."
"When you are taught to be humble as a girl, trying to sell as a business owner can feel like boasting or bragging."

If any one of those sounded like something you have said out loud, this was built for you.

I know exactly why you are not selling

It is not because you are lazy. It is not because you do not want it badly enough.

It is because selling asks you to do the one thing you were raised not to do. Ask.

So instead you build. You create. You improve. You research. You plan. You post. You take another course. You perfect the thing nobody has bought yet. You will do absolutely anything for your business except the part where you look at a human being and ask them to pay you.

Every one of those things feels like work, because it is work. It is just not the work that gets you paid.

Hi, I'm Dr. Shenelle DuBose, and I am just like you

I am an introvert. Not was. Am. That never changed.

Back then I was in my job and I did not know a lot of principals. And I am old school. I was taught that if you do good work, people will notice.

So I did the good work. I did excellent work.

Good work is not enough to get you where you are trying to go.

You have to be able to sell your services and your products. You have to ask for money. You have to stop working for free.

And that last one is the hardest, because so many of us would genuinely rather do it for free than ask to be paid. We will speak at the conference for free. We will consult for free. We will build the thing, run the session, coach the team, and hand it all over for free, when all we actually had to do was ask to be paid.

That was the thing I had to learn. Nobody handed it to me. And it is what I am going to teach you on September 26.

What you are getting in two hours

01

A way to sell that does not feel gimmicky

No pressure tactics. No scripts that sound like somebody else wrote them. We deal with the resistance honestly and then replace it with something you can actually do, in your own voice, without feeling like you have become a different person.

02

What outreach actually looks like

Not "network more." What you send, who you send it to, and what happens next. This is the part nobody ever showed you, and it is the reason your expertise has been sitting still.

03

How to pitch a school and say a five-figure number out loud

District contracts are budget lines that are already approved. The money is there. What is missing is a woman who can walk into that conversation and name her price without her voice shaking. That is a learnable skill and we are going to work on it.

04

A system you can run every single month

Not a one-time push that leaves you back at zero in November. A repeatable rhythm you take home and run again in October, in February, and next June.

What has happened for women who learned this

Jamilah Bashir$29,000 package accepted by a district
Carla JenkinsParent advocate. $26,000 for four workshops plus a retainer
Dr. MelScholars for the Soul. Building toward a $100,000 year
Maat HolmesFifth award won in Texas

Not one of them needed to learn how to do the work. They needed the part that comes after it.

Questions

I am not a salesperson.

Neither am I. That is the entire point. I am not going to turn you into one.

What if I do not have clients yet?

That is fine. This is about landing the first one.

What if I cannot make it live?

Come if you can. If life happens, the replay is yours within 24 hours.

Is this about AI?

No. August 29 was the AI workshop. This one is about the part where a human being has to ask another human being for money.

Is this going to feel pushy?

No. I am an introvert who had to learn this. I am not going to make you perform.

Will you offer me something at the end?

Yes, and I will tell you plainly what it is. You are also welcome to take the two hours, use them, and go.

What is your refund policy?

All sales are final. Your seat is held for you and the replay is delivered within 24 hours, so the workshop is non-refundable. If a technical problem on our end keeps you from getting what you paid for, we will make it right.

You already do the work. Let's get you paid for it.
